Protein Matcha Molten Cake
Yields 6 Cakes
- 100 grams of Sugar (3.5oz)
- 50 grams of Butter (1.75oz)
- 2 Eggs
- 100 grams of Flour (3.5oz)
- 2 tbsp Matcha Powder (0.5oz)
- 100 ml Milk (3.5 fl oz)
- 100 grams of LUXE Vanilla Protein Powder (4 flat scoops) (3.5oz)
- 16 Chocolate Squares Cooking Spray
- Dried Rose Petals
- Powder Sugar
- 1 Medium Bowl
- 1 Hand Blender
- 4 Ramekins or Basins (8oz size cups)
- 1 Serving Spoon
- 1 Baking Tray
Start by preheating your oven to 180°C. Now add your room temperature butter and sugar to a medium size bowl. Mix the butter and sugar using your hand blender for 30 to 45 seconds.
Add your eggs, one at a time, to the mix and whisk everything together until you have a smooth consistency.
Add your flour and Luxe Fitness Protein Powder and mix everything together. Now slowly add your milk while whisking constantly.
To finalize your perfect molten batter, add your matcha powder. Blend everything together till you have a smooth and green consistency. Grease your ramekins with cooking spray and fill half of them with the matcha batter.
Place 4 chocolate squares right in the middle and cover them with the remaining mixture.
Place your filled ramekins in the freezer for 30 minutes. Then place your protein lava cakes in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes at 180°C.
Let the finished cakes sit in for five minutes when they’re finished baking. Then, flip each cup over on a dessert plate, and tap the bottoms of the cups so that the cakes fall out.
Garnish with powdered sugar and dried rose petals and serve immediately.
